Not much to say here, just that I painted these for my daughter and son-in-law for Christmas. Wherein I practiced a little realism with this strange new media.
I ditched the tube acrylics - not a fan of their thickness, especially since I like detail. I bought a bunch of those cheap craft acrylics in bottles - and that stuff works for me, so well! I mean LOOK AT THE KITTEHS.
I went into these paintings with only a small amount of confidence, and I finished feeling so good about it. What a gift, and not just for my kids.
(Image is of Poppy, aka Popito, aka Beeto - a Tortico with awesome markings. The top half of her face and her nose are black; the lower half is orangey brown. Her eyes are green. She looks rather offended.)
(Image is Beeto’s brother Socks, aka Stinky. He is upside-down, because he was lying on the ground. He’s a total goofball. Grey, black, brown, tabby striped kitty with green eyes.)
